Hunt for the Best is a 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath Oceanfront home, on a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by Live Oak trees (see photos.) Located in the charming town of Pine Knoll Shores, which is a virtual bird sanctuary at the beach. Also, just minutes away from the Aquarium and Emerald Isle, this home is so conveniently located you are just minutes to a grocery store, the post office, a video store, and even a movie theater.

Guests of Hunt for the Best have use of the Community Tennis Courts and Swimming Pool at McGinnis Point. NOTE: The Community Pool opens for the season by Memorial Day.

This vacation home has incredible post and beam construction with vaulted ceilings, as well as a magnificent 3rd Level Living Room and Master Suite! The second Kitchen, on Ground Level, has an exterior entrance leading to the Decks and Charcoal Grill, setup perfectly for entertaining. An Elevator that goes to all levels of the home. Hunt for the Best has fantastic views, especially from the spacious Oceanfront Deck, and is a great place to spend your next family vacation!

Bedding: 1 Queen bed, 1 Double bed, and 4 Twin beds.

Great house for a large group. Clean, helpful for family dogs, child friendly, nice decking to the beach and around the house, adequate parking, functional kitchen, and good storage for food and personal items

We liked the walk to the beach. It was beautiful. The house was clean and the beds made which was a great relief. The grout in the bathroom needs a good cleaning or replacement. The toilets are far too low to the floor, making getting off them very difficult. The pull up handles by the toilet are too far back and one can't get any leverage. The elevator was a life saver.

Home was spacious and accommodated a large group. Beautiful beach area and very private. Open concept kitchen and living area made visiting with everyone easy. Large area for dining. Would definitely rent again.

No traffic on the street, room for 4 parked vehicles. The house is roomy & bright. 4 1/2 baths was perfect. Should change 2 of the bedroom setups - 1 more with a Queen and one with bunk beds. The boardwalk to the beach & back is wonderful - one of a kind!! Could use outdoor overhead fans. Elevator could be more dependable but wonderful when working. The beach is quiet, other guests are far enough away for privacy & shade tents are allowed. Seashell collecting is great! Grocery stores, pharmacies, & restaurants are near. We would go again!

This home is spacious and the access to the beach is great. The beach is very private and while the house sits back from the ocean, the walkway is private and is covered by many trees. Nice kitchen and rooms - each room has its own bathroom.

Hunt for the Best is great!!! We were under the impression the new elevator was working, but had to lug our bags up 2 flights of stairs - a workout. But the house was clean, very roomy, SO quiet. Bed could use better mattresses. Nice walkway to the beach, parts were covered with trees making for a cool walk. We could happily live there full time!!!

Beautiful home. Every bedroom has own bath, which was great. We didn't realize how many stairs though. You won't have to go to the gym for the week you are here. The only thing that would make this house better would be an elevator. I was amazed that the property still had original appliances that worked great and we're what is actually coming back in style today. Watch out for the spider that makes a web at the 2nd floor side door...he is a master web spinner. Ran into it every day, you'd think I would remember.

We've rented with Bluewater a number of times over our near-annual trips to the Bogue Banks over the last 30 plus years. Our experiences have been consistently good to excellent. This is a wonderful house in a wonderful location. It fit well our family of grandparents, two couples, and two pre-school children. It's spacious, very private, has gorgeous views of the beach and the maritime forest (you're about the trees!) and has bathrooms galore. Some updating would help, but the price to quality value is worth a few older furnishings. I love the new system for keyless entry! What a time saver for everyone.
