The house is large and comfortable. Has all the amenities needed. Cleaning was excellent during these COVD times. The pool is perfect for those who cannot make it to the beach due to mobility issues. Loved the outside furniture on the deck and around the pool. Other properties we have rented don't have such comfort. Will be returning.

We loved Pelican Perch! The house was large, beautiful, clean, and on the ocean. The keyless entry made check-in/check-out hassle-free. Our family enjoyed the big kitchen area, hot tub, pool fabulous game room - especially ping pong matches. We'll definitely be back.

This was our second year staying at Pelican Perch. We had a great time! The home is close to shopping, great restaurants, and a close walk to the Pier. It is spacious enough where all can spread out. The new appliances In kitchen look great:)

The views were beautiful from the lovely covered porch. We enjoyed the pool/hot tub too. The house was in a great location, easy walks and bike rides to bike path and restaurants/shopping.

We appreciated that we could bring our dog, and she enjoyed the beach in the early mornings before it was more populated by people.

Overall the home was perfectly positioned on the island and it had the right amount of bedrooms and bathrooms (luckily the one remained questionably usable).

We had a fantastic time at Pelican Perch. Our family hasn't spent any real time together in years.
this was perfect. We had 2 grandparents, 3 daughters with their husbands, and 3 children ages 4,2, and nearly 2. It was so nice to be able to contain the kids safely in different areas with the gate system! Being so close to the fish pier was wonderful and made for fun and tiring walks for the little (and big) ones. Walking to area stores and restaurants (without their toddlers) gave stressed parents a bit of relief, too. Everyone loved the property. On a scale of 1-10 it's a 20!

After many years of searching and 'trying out' different vacation homes we have finally found the perfect home for our family. We loved the location close to pier, attention to detail the owners obviously put into decorating, the pool, the hot tub, the double master bedrooms, the gates at every outside area, the outdoor shower, and the fenced yard. Our dogs loved their vacation as much as we loved ours. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful home with us. We have already booked next year. Can't wait!

Emerald Isle is one of our favorite spots for a beach vacation. This is the 2nd year we have rented Pelicans Perch and it is a home away from home. This is one of the few large homes that allow dogs which is important for us. We love being oceanfront, the pool, kitchen is well furnished and the grandkids love the game room. There were a few minor issues which were resolved quickly by Bluewater Mainenance. Our family of 11 + one dog is spread up and down the East Coast and schedules are varied. This makes it difficult to get a week together. If it works for 2016 we hope we will be lucky to return to Pelicans Perch.

It did not have a lot of things cluttering the kitchen cabinets and had room for our groceries. I loved it. My grandkids really had a good time.

Our family all agreed this was the best house yet. It was evident the owners put a lot of love and thought into this home. Loved all the different shades of blue throughout the house, set off by the white trim. All rooms tastefully decorated, comfy seating in the living room, great little table in the corner for four of us(the women to play cards, guys played on the main deck. Loved all the pelican pictures (almost missed the one hanging on the side wall in the living room, we rated it #1. A nice touch on the main deck with the glass partition, our grandchildren are past the point of sticking their heads through the slats but all of us enjoyed the unobstructed view. Very nice deck chairs and pool lounges. There was a nice expanse of beach, a bigger gas grill then we have had in the past. Kids were a little disappointed that the Pac-Man didn't work and I was told the net was missing from the ping pong table. We also liked the keyless feature. After a very dismal forecast for the week, the weather was great. Can't commit for next year but if it works out this would be our top pick at Emerald Isle.

This home was well furnished to acommodate our large multi-aged family. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and equipment, which was clean and in working order. The paved parking area was welcome as we didn't track into the house on damp days. We really appreciated the dog run area. Furniture was adequate and outside pool and deck area very comfortable. We really enjoyed the glass see through railings for shorter folk who have trouble seeing over standard railing while seate, and the gates were great to keep dogs safely confined. Overall a great house.

Our family had such a good vacation in Pelican Perch. We had a baby, toddler, elementary, high school and college age kids in addition to parents and grandparents and the house worked well for all of us. The glass enclosed deck was fabulous with a toddler. We loved the easy access to the beach from the house and all enjoyed the pool. The house was well equipped and the location was certainly close to shopping as well. Our only recommendation would be to replace a few of the beds for those who deal with back issues. Overall it was a great gathering spot for our family.

This house was perfect for our family vacation. The heated pool and hot tub were great for the cooler days and the kids had plenty to do all day and evening with the awesome game room in the basement. We loved the welcome feel the home has for kids and pets and all the inspirational decor all over the house. We will definitely be coming back..

The home was spacious and airy; just perfect for a large family with different age groups. There was something for everyone. The young people loved the game room and we all gathered in the evenings in the theatre room for movies and popcorn. We had our toddler grandchildren and the enclosed second floor porch was wonderful because it confined the children with no danger of one of them falling through the railing with the plexiglass and we could still view the pool below as well as the beach. The view of the ocean was simply breathtaking! We would love the stay here again.
