August 1st National Night Out Events
Morehead City National Night Out — Come and be a part of National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1, with the Morehead City Police Department, Morehead City Fire-EMS, and other area agencies! This family-friendly event will take place from 6 pm to 8 pm at Rotary Park.
Explore a variety of vehicles and equipment on display and enjoy numerous activities throughout the evening. While supplies last, there will be free hot dogs, hamburgers, snow-cones, and more. Don’t miss the chance to participate in the raffle with fantastic prizes up for grabs. We can’t wait to see you there for an unforgettable night!
Cape Carteret National Night Out — National Night Out is an annual event that takes place on the first Tuesday in August. It fosters a stronger bond between neighbors and law enforcement, reviving a genuine sense of community. Additionally, it offers an excellent opportunity to unite police and neighbors in a positive setting. Join the Cape Carteret Police Department at 6pm for fun and education at the Town of Cape Carteret.
Atlantic Beach National Night Out — Join us once again for National Night Out with the Atlantic Beach Police Department! Taking place on Tuesday, August 1, at the Atlantic Beach, NC Town Park from 6-8 p.m., this annual community-building campaign promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, making our communities safer and more caring places to live and work.
You won’t want to miss loads of FREE family fun, including bouncy houses, raffle prizes, free pizza, hot dogs, snacks, and drinks, as well as free gift bags filled with goodies like crayons and coloring books. There’s also free mini-golf and a chance to explore and touch real Police and Fire Department vehicles. Get ready for an amazing evening of fun and connection!
August 3rd
Traditional Skiff Rally 8am— Celebrate Beaufort’s rich sailing heritage at the Traditional Skiff Regatta! Held in early August, this event offers a fast-paced cruise around the islands to compete for the prestigious Shanghai Trophy. It’s a captivating spectacle for both participants and spectators, providing an engaging show from the downtown waterfront. Organized by the Traditional Small Craft Association, FoM Chapter. August 5th
Taste the Coast Celebration 7pm — Come and be part of the Taste of the Coast Celebration, hosted by the NC Coastal Federation, for a delightful summer evening celebrating the beauty and abundance of North Carolina’s coast. Join us at the Crystal Coast Civic Center for an unforgettable experience filled with mouth-watering food and wine pairings, fresh N.C. oysters (both raw and steamed), a fantastic coastal auction, and live music to set the mood.
Celebration tickets are priced at $60 and can be easily purchased here. Don’t miss out on this fantastic event that promises to tantalize your taste buds and support the preservation of our beloved coastal treasures!
August 10th
Community Unity Night at Indian Beach — Community Unit Night Out promises loads of fun with exciting activities lined up! Join us for the frozen T-shirt contest starting at 5:45 pm, followed by sack races in three different categories at 6:00 pm. You won’t want to miss the friendly competition between the Fire and Police Departments in the sack race!
And here’s the best part – your “ticket” to the event is simply bringing canned food items. All donations will go to support Martha’s Mission. So come on down, have a blast, and contribute to a great cause! See you there!
August 19th
6th Annual CTO Crystal Coast Youth Fishing Tournament — Don’t miss out on this Youth Fishing Tournament in Newport! Register your youth angler now. Open to ages 7-17, but hurry, only 150 spots available! With 27 ways to win, including various fish categories and special prizes, it’s a fishing adventure you won’t want to miss. Simple rules – fish from shore, pier, or dock, no boats or kayaks allowed. Follow NC state regulations for eligible entries. Join the fun and test your skills in the throw net competition too!
AB King Mackerel 3rd Annual Tropical Soiree — Join us for the AB King Mackerel 3rd Annual Tropical Soiree at The Cottage at The Crystal Coast on August 19th from 6 pm to 10 pm. Tickets are $100 each, and this year’s theme is TROPICAL attire. Don’t miss the open bar with spirits from Bogue Sound Distillery, Tito’s Vodka, and wine from MF Chappell. Enjoy food from Promise Land Market and live entertainment by Alex Williams. There will also be a live auction. Get your tickets now for this unforgettable event!
