My name is Darcy Wine, and I am an Emerald Isle REALTOR at Bluewater Real Estate. My experience here has been an incredible journey. Living in a community always there for you made me realize I didn’t want to be part of a big corporate chain; instead, I wanted to be a part of a “local” brokerage with that hometown feeling. The friendliness of giving a hand and saying hi to you with a smile has been a joy, making the trip to the office more enjoyable.

I first became a REALTOR in 2016 in Stafford, VA, where I have earned repeat accolades as a Northern Virginia Magazine Top Producing Real Estate Agent and Washingtonian Magazine Top Agent. In 2021, I became a licensed REALTOR in North Carolina and have continued being a dual-state licensed REALTOR. I am a passionate Realtor and enjoy helping families surrounding Emerald Isle to live out their home dreams. Nothing is better than being a part of a family’s home adventures, and I am honored to do so. 

About Darcy Wine

Although I am not considered a “native” of Carteret County, I have always considered Emerald Isle home. Born in an Army hospital, I traveled the world with my family while my father served in the Army. When our family moved from Mannheim, Germany, to Warrenton, Virginia, in 1987, a friend informed us about Atlantic Beach. That Summer of 1987, we visited the Crystal Coast for the first time.

Loving the Crystal Coast

With my husband, also a Veteran, having proudly served 21 years in the Marine Corps, we continued the tradition of visiting the Crystal Coast. The Crystal Coast is where my kids crawled on the sandy beaches and tipped their little toes in the Atlantic Ocean. They took their first ferry rides to places like Sand Dollar Island and Shackleford Banks and had their picture taken with a giant frog at the North Carolina Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores. This magical place we live in has been magical for our family memories.

After saying every year, let’s move to the beach, in 2021, we did just that. We packed up our family, including my father, and left VA for our favorite place, Emerald Isle. In addition to being a local Emerald Isle Realtor, we lead a busy but enriching life.  With 4 of our 6 kids in the Carteret County schools, I have committed to our school system. I often volunteer at our children's schools and contribute to our athletic programs. As a youth basketball coach and Mom of many athletes, I believe our kids need an outlet. Playing sports is much more than just a game.

Giving back to the community

In 2022, I made it a mission to give back to those who can no longer care for themselves by obtaining my Nursing Assistant license and Death Doula certification and proudly working when available on-call at the Crystal Coast Hospice House (CCHH). I did this in memory of my Father, who passed away on Christmas Day 2021 at CCHH from Dementia. I was his daughter and caretaker for the last 2 years he was with us. Seeing the wonderful care Hospice provided him showed me that, yes, there is more room in my heart to not only care and commit my time to my family and clients but also to those who are at the end of life, as some don’t have that person to hold their hand. I have chosen to be that person.
