June 10, 2022 – 9 PM until 10:30 PM
Fort Macon’s Night of Astronomy meets at the beach access parking lot. Ranger Paul Terry will discuss the night sky and have telescopes set up to view the heavens. This is a clear weather event and may be canceled due to rain or heavy cloud cover. If you have a telescope, bring it.
BIG ROCK BLUE MARLIN TOURNAMENT
Recurring daily from June 10, 2022 – June 19, 2022
Known as one of the biggest and best fishing tournaments along the Eastern Seaboard, the annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament is a Crystal Coast-wide celebration that extends from the open and offshore Atlantic waters to the local docks of Beaufort, Morehead City, and the Atlantic Beach waterfront.
SWANSBORO ARTS BY THE SEA FESTIVAL
June 11, 2022 – 9 AM until 5 PM
The second Saturday of June finds Downtown Swansboro in its Arts by the Sea celebration, an arts extravaganza with photography, home decor, paintings, jewelry, and pottery. The festival draws art lovers from around the state each year, eager to spy on their next artistic find.

The Father’s Day Fishing Palooza event is for kids ages 3-15 years old. Prizes will be awarded for first fish caught, most creative fishing hat, largest fish by weight, and smallest fish by weight. Bring your own bait and pole or borrow ours.

Hammocks Beach State Park
Enjoy this ranger-guided Kayak Eco Tour through the adjacent marsh water to explore some of the ecosystems which make this part of North Carolina so special. Kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets will be provided. Must be 13 years and older to participate.
