Murder Mystery Dinner : Only Murders in the Museum September 1st 11am-1:30pm — Uncover the mystery and crack the case of an intriguing ‘murder’ at the museum. Join us for an afternoon filled with suspense, as museum staff and enthusiastic volunteers orchestrate an entertaining tale of deception, clues, and a twist that’ll leave you guessing. Become a part of the investigation as we untangle the web of the latest unfortunate “accident” at the museum. Moreover, to fuel your detective spirit, refreshments will be provided. Behind the Scenes Tour: At a Glance September 2nd noon-1pm— Step behind the scenes at the NC Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores. Embark on an insider’s journey through the labs, food preparation zones, and animal holding spaces for a bird’s-eye perspective of the Living Shipwreck. Above all, keep in mind that children aged 5 to 12 need to be accompanied by a paying adult to join in on the adventure.
Even More Fun Labor Day Weekend
Crystal Coast Record Show September 2nd 10am-4pm — Get ready to explore a massive selection of LPs, CDs, cassettes, DVDs, and memorabilia, courtesy of music vendors hailing from all corners of NC. The best part? Admission is on the house and includes full access to The History Museum of Carteret County. Get set to dive into a world of music and history that goes beyond the surface!
Carteret Cars and Coffee September 2nd 9am-11am — Gear up for a monthly morning cruise-in like no other, every first Saturday of the month! This exciting gathering is now powered by the Crystal Coast Cruisers and Cruzettes. Big thanks to Parker Buick/GMC for letting us set up shop at the old Kmart parking lot. Furthermore, it’s all about celebrating the love for automobiles and inspiring fellow enthusiasts. Let’s come together, have a blast, and remember: Keep the revs high, but the burnouts and bad behavior low!
Into the Fog Labor Day Party September 4th at 4pm — Ready to groove into Labor Day? Swing on over to Backstreet Pub in Beaufort for a party that’s all about funky-grass jams, courtesy of none other than the coolest, weather-inspired, mind-bending acid-grass band on this big blue planet.
Say hello to Into The Fog: These cats nailed the 2021 MerleFest Band Competition and hail from Raleigh, North Carolina. With a lineup that’s a mixtape of bluegrass, country, rock, and funk backgrounds, Into The Fog whips up a delicious sonic stew that’ll have you dancing in an acoustic/newgrass wonderland.

There’s a special Junior Surf Division too, so young anglers can get in on the action.
This event is truly for everyone! We’ve divided the excitement into three main categories: King and Spanish Mackerel, as well as the Surf Division. Plus, we’re rolling out the red carpet for our junior anglers (aged 16 and under). They can cast their lines for prizes without an entry fee – just remember to register. Otherwise, it’s time to bait those hooks and get ready for a fishing experience like no other!
