My name is Phillip Lewis, Emerald Isle REALTOR with Bluewater Real Estate. As a Crystal Coast native, I have called this little slice of paradise my home for most of my life. That means that “heading to the beach” meant as little as grabbing a chair from our garage and walking down the street. My grandparents purchased their first home on Emerald Isle when getting onto the island involved a ferry. An ocean-side cottage was only $45,000, and a sound-side cottage was only $200 per week in the peak of summer.
Things have changed slightly since then, butmy family's love for the Crystal Coast has remained unchanged. My mother moved here to teach school in our local elementary schools in the early 1990s. My father is a proud Marine who was stationed at Camp Lejeune and opted to retire here after a rewarding20-year career spanning from 1985 to 2005.
Knowledge & Experience:
Throughout college, I spent the summers working with Bluewater Real Estate’s Vacation Rental division. As such, I have seen all 600+ properties within the management portfolio. With prior experience as a real estate paralegal at a prominent real estate closing attorney office with offices across North Carolina, I have a vast knowledge of the legal and transactional side of closings and contacts across the industry. After graduating from East Carolina University, I knew I wanted to return to the place that held my heart and pursue my real estate license.

My earlier experience brought me to become an Emerald Isle REALTOR. The first was the love of architecture, interior design, and investment that I gained from working with Bluewater’s Vacation Rental Division. The second was working as a real estate paralegal. Closing day is one of the most exciting days in many people’s lives as itliterally opens new doors. Seeing that happiness made me think, “What if I worked to find that dream home and foster that seed of happiness in my own clients.” As such, I would be elated to have the opportunity to serve you in finding your dream forever home.
