We are David and Julie Perry, known as Team Perry, Emerald Isle Realtors at Bluewater Real Estate. We feel blessed to have been born and raised in Carteret County, one of the most beautiful and unique places. The ocean, sound, marsh grass, and salt air are incredible, but more importantly, the people who make it special. Our county is known for how people help one another in crisis and for its "southern hospitality."

Our favorite hobbies involve traveling - mostly cruising! However, it was through an opportunity, as teachers, to travel with students that we have been able to visit Australia and New Zealand as well as more than half of the countries in Europe. Yet, we still appreciate the beauty of where we live. Boating, biking, golfing, and listening to live entertainment are some of our favorite things. This area is fortunate to have amazingly talented musicians who have chosen to live here.

About Team Perry

Life on the Crystal Coast has sometimes been challenging. A business loss and cancer diagnosis in 2012 re-centered our value of people, experiences, memories, and faith. In 2017, our daughter, Kalen, graduated from NC State, and in 2019, our son, Ryan, graduated from Croatan High School and headed to NC State. We reflected that much of our lives had centered around our kids’ extracurricular activities. Therefore, we needed to find something to do with our free time. We enrolled in real estate classes with plans to sell real estate in retirement. With lifelong friends Cathy Sheaffer, Marsha Jordan, Kitch Ayre, and Syndie Earnhardt, as well as the reputation of Bluewater Real Estate, the choice to join Bluewater was easy. The knowledge of our co-workers, the owners, and our Broker in Charge has been invaluable.

We have many military families on the Crystal Coast, and since we are educators, we have had an opportunity to learn from our students and their families who have lived worldwide! Most of our clients have been family, friends, and friends of friends.
